What is our process for cleaning your green pool? 1. Step one is we shock the pool with granular and liquid chlorine. Brush pool thoroughly and stir it all up. 2. Then we run the equipment for 24 hours 3. Come back the following day clean the filters and vacuum up all the dead algae and dirt with our portable vacuum. We perform proper acid washes to eliminate all the algae growth from your pool structure surfaces. Our technicians are highly trained in performing pool acid washes. Acid washes must be done by a true professional to ensure your pool is not damaged in the process. Our technicians come fully prepared with the appropriate safety gear ie. Gloves, footwear, masks and more. Water is used frequently to ensure that your pool surfaces are not damaged. When checking a pool for algae growth we look at the age of the water and growth advancement of the algae. We then empty the pool with a sump pump. The next, very important step, is the liquid chlorine wash. This includes a very thorough scrub of all the algae and spores to remove all of it. This step is important. We then start the acid wash. Plenty of protective measures are taken for our safety and the safety of your pool. We neutralize the acid with soda ash while cleaning to prevent damage to the pool surfaces and to minimize potent and harmful fumes. Mix the acid on a 3-1 ratio (25% acid and the use of Biodex to thicken/foam and soda ash to neutralize). Once the acid solution is mixed we will start pouring it all over the pool plaster while scrubbing the walls and floors with a hard bristle brush. We use lots of water. This is key. While we scrub the walls we have a sump pump running at the same time because we have a constant flow of water to wash off the solution as we scrub. It is important that we quickly remove the acid to ensure that your pool walls are not damaged. We repeat this process as necessary. After performing the acid wash we will add the proper amount of conditioner as well as shock so that the PH levels are where they need to be when you are ready to start swimming.
